About the AlphaLab TF2
The AlphaLab Trifield TF2 has earned its place as the reference instrument for practical EMF field surveys. In a single handheld unit it covers three domains that usually require separate meters: ELF magnetic fields from 40Hz to 100kHz, ELF electric fields across the same band, and radio frequency from 20MHz to 6GHz. That span catches everything from mains wiring and appliances through to Wi-Fi, smart meters, and cell-tower emissions.
What sets the TF2 apart is its weighted measurement mode, which applies a frequency response curve aligned to how the human body absorbs induced currents. This gives a more biologically meaningful reading than a flat frequency response would. Switch back to standard mode for straight engineering measurements. The analogue-style digital display with peak-hold makes it easy to catch transient spikes.
AlphaLab has manufactured the Trifield line in the United States for decades. Build quality is serious: the TF2 is calibrated with a traceable reference, survives field use, and runs about twenty hours on a single 9V battery.
